1930s Art Deco Cabinet by Maison Soubrier

An exquisite French Art Deco cabinet or chest of drawers designed and made by Maison Soubrier in the 1930s, in Paris. It is comprised of Macassar ebony wood in a warm reddish brown tone. The rare wood is known for it beautiful stripes, which here are modest, elegant adornment. The chest shows fine craftsmanship in its woodwork and attention to details, which include zinc pulls, locks, and hinges. Structurally, the chest is designed with 4 drawers at the center and 2 flanking cabinets that each open to 3 shelves, providing ample storage space.
