Early 20th Century Chinese Lacquered Panel Table

This Chinese low table was created in the Early 20th century. It is comprised of a wood panel mounted as a floating tabletop. The panel is coated with Coromandel lacquer and designed with intricately incised patterns. Floral still-life imagery adorns the center and is framed by carved bands, which are decorated with curling flowers and stems. The panel is set into a molded wood rectangular frame with an elegant beaded apron and culminate in hoof feet.
