Early 20th Century Portraits of Chinese Dignitaries - a Pair

This diptych comprises of a pair of paintings on silk, with glass and wood frames. Made 1900-1925. The paintings depict two Chinese dignitaries, poised and facing the viewer in stately attire. Their faces are beautifully rendered with subtle shading and subdued colors, as are the beautiful fabrics of their garb.

47 ½” height x 23” width

Frame dimensions:
49 ¾” height x 25” width
¾” thickness

Condition notes:
In good condition with wear and discoloration to the silk that are appropriate for the paintings' age. Surface wear and minor corner separation to the wood frame.
