Late 17th Century English Oak Blanket Chest

A beautifully aged English blanket chest, hand-crafted in the late 17th Century. We love the balance of simplicity and adornment. While the chest's form is austere, its facade is adorned with intricately hand-carved floral design. The decorative keyhole is brass. Another feature that makes this chest special is the wood's organic wear, which has rounded the corners and given the wood a warm, reddish brown patina. This is a fine piece of craftsmanship that offers ample storage space.

Condition notes:
In good condition with natural wear to the wood that's consistent with the chest's age and use. This includes organic splitting, discoloration, and surface wear that all give the chest's its warm character and value.
