Late 18th Century Chippendale Chest of Drawers

Hand-crafted by the school of cabinetmaker Joseph Short, whose family of carpenters lived in the late 18th and early 19th centuries in Newburyport, Massachusetts. This chest of drawer is mahogany with a dark finish that's accrued a textured patina over the centuries. There are 4 graduated drawers with replacement brass pulls. The top has molded edge and overhang, while the plinth base culminates with bracket feet.

Condition notes:
In good condition and structurally sound. There are wear and patina appropriate with the chest's age and use. Brass pulls are a later replacement.
