Restored Mid-Century Leather Armchairs in the Style of Jens Risom - a Pair

These two armchairs were designed and manufactured circa 1950s-1960s. They are crafted in the manner of the Danish American designer, Jens Risom, who infused American Modernism with elements of Scandinavian design. The chairs are comprised of a walnut frame with a caramel, brick-red leather upholstery and leather-padding for the arms. Their corners are notably rounded, balancing their straight, sleek lines with a softer edge. Consistent with their age and use, the chairs' leather has variations in tone. The chairs are newly repaired and newly cushioned, adding more fullness to their forms. Additionally the undersides are newly webbed for extra protection.
