Early 20th Century Gilt Painted Mirror in the Neoclassical Style

An elegant, finely aged wall mirror in the Neoclassical style. Crafted in the early 20th Century. The frame is comprised of wood painted with gold and a burgundy hue. The gilt detailing highlights certain elements of the mirror, such as the remarkable finials at the top. A floral pattern in gilt decorates the front of the cornice. The visible worn surface of the mirror frame adds a tinge of history, instead of lessening the quality of the mirror as a whole. The back is protected with paper lining, with notes hand-written on the surface by its previous owner. Wire has been installed for hanging.
