19th Century Carved Oak Desk in the Style of Style of R. J. Horner & Co.

Crafted in the Late 19th Century from white oak, this desk has beautifully hand-carved details that place it in the family of furniture produced at the time by Robert J. Horner in New York City. Ornately rendered acanthus leaves adorn the quarter-sawn frame, creating an elegant border and textured surfaces. The sturdy legs appropriately take on the strong form of lions, connected by a turned trestle stretcher. Structurally, the desk has two drawers with ample storage space. Finely aged with its expert woodwork preserved and enriched by a rich dark-brown finish, it's a versatile piece of furniture that can live in many interiors.
