This classic Mid-20th Century square coffee table consists of a travertine top and a rosewood base. The design is characterized by clean lines, simple shapes, and symmetry. A good height and open structure to the base gives the overall architecture of the table a sense of airiness. Soft grays and beiges in the travertine's grain provide an organic decorative surface that strikes a beautiful balance with the dark brown tone of the rosewood.
While this is originally a Danish Modern design, the travertine was made in Italy and may be a later addition.
