Pair of Antique Chinese Rosewood Armchairs

A pair of antique Chinese armchairs crafted from rosewood, possibly Huanghuali rosewood. Circa Late 19th Century. The back is decorated with hand-carved fruit and fauna motifs. We love the combination of intricate swirling forms and the more squared geometric structure of the chairs. The wood has aged beautifully, taking on a warm red-brown hue and rounded corners.
