Alfred Christensen Danish Modern Lounge Chair

Made in the 1960s, this lounge chair was designed by Alfred Christensen for Slagelse Mobelvaerk. It consists of beech wood with lambswool upholstery. A balance of thin and rounded forms characterize the design, apparent in the curved arms and splayed legs being balanced with the fuller cushioning of the seat and back. Of note are the subtle detail of the button tufting and the slight winged quality of the back's corners. A truly cozy chair ideal for lounging and relaxing.
