An exquisite pair of antique, handcrafted French Empire armchairs - reimagined in brown vegan leather and silk velvet leopard print. The chairs were originally made in the Early to Mid 19th Century and consist of mahogany frames. They have been newly reupholstered, with new cushions. The seats, backrest, and sides are a rich brown leather, while the backs have been redone in a luxe leopard print. Structurally, the chairs are reminiscent of Neoclassical furniture (for example those expertly crafted by the Jacob Frères duo), in the carved acanthus leaves that adorn the crown and arms, and in the elegant, turned front legs.
