19th Century French Rosewood Writing Desk

Masterly hand-crafted in the 19th Century, this Louis XV-style desk is comprised of a top cabinet case and a lower desk body. It consists of rosewood with decorative matchstick mahogany veneer and fruitwood inlay. The original green leather top and bronze mounts and pulls round out the exquisite woodwork. There's ample storage space in the flat-top cabinet's 6 small drawers and the desk's central drawer flanked by 2 smaller drawers on the left side and a small but deeper drawer on the right side. A pull-out side leaf can be extended from either side of the desk.
