19th Century Carved Oak Bookcase Cabinet in the Style of R. J. Horner & Co.

Hand-crafted from oak in the 19th Century in the style of the renowned R.J. Horner & Co., this bookcase cabinet features carved barley-twist front columns and an ornate frieze with a lion-head crest. There are five shelves with four being removable. The oak has been newly refinished to bring out the beautiful grains and warm brown tones of the wood. Other noteworthy features are the elegant cornice at top and the bun feet.

Condition notes:
In overall good condition and structurally sound. General wear to wood, such as chips to the back and areas of fading, all consistent with the bookcase's age and use. The decorative moulding to one of the front feet is missing, but the foot is structurally sound. Newly refinished.
