Early 20th Century Chinese Elmwood Nightstands - A Pair

These nightstand cabinets or side tables were hand-crafted in China in the Early 20th Century. They are elmwood with a lacquered, oxblood-red finish and delicately hand-painted gilt floral motifs. Each chest has two hinged doors with beautifully patterned exteriors in a faux shagreen design. The doors are equipped with functioning brass key plates and locks. Inside, there's a bit of storage space perfect for small items. A versatile cabinet or side-table set, these chests will bring a touch of color and pattern to your home.
