1950s Danish Wingback Armchair in the Style of Alfred Christensen

Made in the 1950s, this Danish wingback armchair takes after the elegant designs of Alfred Christensen, founder of Slagelse Møbelværk. The frame, arms, and legs are mahogany, while the upholstery is a woven fabric with rope trims. Like the well-crafted furniture produced by Christensen, this chair is characterized by soft lines and curves, and by carved details such as the rolled arms. The woven fabric is noteworthy for its textured floral pattern and gray-eggplant color.
