19th Century Louis XV Bergère Armchairs - A Pair

Pair of antique Louis XV bergère armchairs, originally handcrafted in the 19th Century from beech. They were later reupholstered in a pale blue-and-white patterned textile and with down-filled cushions. The wood has aged beautifully over the centuries, preserving the finely carved detailing: flower heads adorn the crown of the chairs and the apron, while the arms and legs are fluted. Other noteworthy features include arm padding in a matching fabric and the ornate gimp trim.
