Bauhaus Style Cantilevered Steel Chairs in Pony Skin - A Pair

Made in the Late 20th Century, this pair of armchairs takes after the iconic Brno chairs originally designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich in the 1920s. They are a now classic design using cantilevered steel frames that give the chairs a sense of lightweight openness, as if almost floating. The frames are also noteworthy for their sturdy flat bar construction. This set is upholstered in ponyskin with a mix of ecru and white tones. Overall, an exceptional, versatile pair that can be used in various settings, such as dining, office, or side chairs.

Dimensions:
23 in. width
20 in. depth
31.5 in. overall height
23.5 in. arm height
17 in. seat height

Condition notes:
In overall good condition and structurally sound. General surface wear and some thinning to leather upholstery in some areas, all consistent with the chairs' age and use. A great candidate for reupholstery work.
