Early 20th Century Danish Biedermeier Style Mahogany Armchairs - A Pair

Hand-crafted in the Biedermeier Style in the Early 20th Century, these Danish mahogany armchairs have been refinished and reupholstered in a tiger silk velvet from Scalamandré. Masterful woodwork in the carved floral designs of the back, with its openwork and scrolled forms. Curved arms transition into cabriole legs at the front. The back legs have a subtly splayed shape. Overall the wood has a dark brown finish that accentuates the inviting, warm qualities of the original design.

Condition notes:
