George II Walnut Burl Tall Boy or Chest on Chest

This handsome solid walnut two piece chest on chest or tall boy was made circa 1720, during the George II period in England. The piece, comprised of top and bottom chests, was built with ogee feet, a fitted interior pull-out desk top, and nine functional drawers.  It is a substantial piece that is functional, expertly crafted, and thoughtfully designed with sophistication in mind. The chest was purchased in London in the 1990s and remains in its original condition.
