Handcrafted circa 1690, this two-part mahogany chest of drawers typifies the William & Mary style with its combination of curved and linear forms. The upper half consists of 2 small drawers and 3 full-length drawers, while the bottom half consists of 3 small drawers. Noteworthy are the trumpet legs with curving stretcher and ball feet, which strike an elegant balance with the straight lines of the body. The wood has aged beautifully over the years and has a warm, reddish brown tone.
